The upsurge of technology and innovation in business delivery has made significant strides in corporate growth. More significantly is the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in business management. Today, it has become prudent to appreciate the role of AI in the entrepreneurial thinking of entrepreneurs of micro, small and medium enterprises as a result of a new paradigm shift. The concept is receiving a growing consensus with regards to its positive influence on entrepreneurship. A scant knowledge of clear categorization in academic literature pertaining to this correlation is observed. The study seeks to explore the impact of AI on entrepreneurship as an enabler for entrepreneurs of micro, small and medium enterprises by taking into account the crucial application of AI in technological paradigms such as smart factory, the Internet of things (IoT) among others. A systematic literature review is used to analyze the salient studies creating a nexus between AI and entrepreneurship.
Joseph Gyamfi Yeboah, a Senior Lecturer, is a PhD holder and is the Head of Department for Entrepreneurship and Supply Chain Management at the Methodist University Ghana. He has published a lot of papers in reputed journals as well as authored books in Marketing and Management. He serves on many boards of the university and has extensive experience in entrepreneurship training and initiatives in Ghana. He is an external consultant on a World Bank funded programmes by the Ghana Enterprises Agency for the Government of Ghana designed to train and resource the youth of Ghana to start their own businesses.
