Thomas Joseph Vogl, born on May 17, 1958, in Munich, Germany, is a distinguished German radiologist renowned for his significant contributions to the field of diagnostic and interventional radiology. Currently serving as a professor of radiography at the University of Frankfurt, he also holds the esteemed position of director at the Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the University Hospital Frankfurt/Main.
Vogl's illustrious career spans decades of groundbreaking research and clinical practice, with expertise in various specialized areas including interventional oncology, vascular procedures, multidetector computed tomography (MDCT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and the evaluation of contrast agents and MR-guided procedures.
His academic journey began with his appointment as a professor for general radiology at the Charité in Berlin in 1993.
