Nowadays, new compounds and wound
dressings have received special attention in the treatment of many skin
diseases due to the reduction of treatment time and cost. One of these
compounds used is plant peptides, which are extracted from plants such as
soybeans. Antimicrobial plant peptides are small, cationic and amphiphilic
peptides that are secreted by fungi, plants, invertebrates and vertebrates and
have antimicrobial activity against bacteria, fungi, viruses and other
pathogens and act as non-specific host defense systems and the innate immune
system. Another effective compound is Damask Rose
essential oil, usually produced through steam distillation. Damask Rose has as many powerful anti-microbial and anti-aging
compounds that are even against the very dangerous bacteria Escherichia and
Staphylococcus aureus. Bacteria that resist even the strongest pharmaceutical
antibiotics. This flower is rich in vitamin C and tannins, Vitamin C helps
stimulate skin cells and collagen production, resulting in younger and
rejuvenated skin. Vitamin C can also increase the brightness and color of the
skin, close the pores and even clear acne and has a strengthening and
antioxidant effect to prevent signs of aging. Damask Rose essential oil Keeps
the skin moist. Damask Rose is a type of facial oil balancer to maintain a proper pH is absolutely
essential for healthy skin. Our skin has a thin layer called an "acid
mantle" that naturally fights infection and environmental factors. If the
skin is too alkaline or too acidic, its ability to protect itself is reduced.
Pollution, environmental toxins, and the sun's rays all play a role in
disrupting the skin's pH balance.
Fish collagen is
resistant to physical and chemical damage. Additionally, the process of
extracting this oil preserves the triple helix structure of collagen, thus
keeping the polypeptide and amino acid intact. These proteins naturally
supplement collagen and increase the therapeutic effects. There is another compound, The benefits of zinc
oxide are, Help reduce inflammation caused by skin rashes, allergies, or skin
irritations (including baby urine burns), Preventing sunburn and protecting the
skin from the harmful rays of the sun (especially in photosensitive skin), Protecting
the skin against all the harmful spectrum of ultraviolet rays (it can be said
that zinc oxide is the only compound that filters all UV-A rays in addition to
UV-B rays in broad-spectrum sunscreens.), Protection against skin cancer or
neoplasia (cancer of the basal cells of the skin), Wound healing and prevention
of bacterial infections, Helping to heal and fix burns and damaged and burnt
tissue, Help to treat acne lesions, Retaining moisture in dry skin. Also, in
this research, it is predicted that the use of the electrolysis method will
cause proper homogenization of the additives on the surface of the matrix,
which will increase the favorable effect of the polymer on the environment. In
this research, in order to optimize (increase the efficiency with the least
cost and time), it is tried that the polymeric phase of
Polyvinyl alcohol has the
highest amount available, which is expected to occupy 90% of the composition. According to the main
structure of the sample created by the polymer, the variables of peptides, Damask
Rose essential oil, Fish collagen oil and Zinc Oxide in several different
ratios together in a fixed amount of polymer are investigated and evaluated.
Considering that if the desired sample can have the highest efficiency in the
highest amount of polymer and the lowest amount of actives, it can be easily
stated that the desired sample has undergone optimization in addition to its
antimicrobial efficiency. According to the
mentioned cases and the introduction of the method and main materials of this
research, in this research, it is tried to synthesize plant peptides/ Damask Rose essential oil/ Fish collagen/ Zinc oxide
in the fixed polymer matrix of 90% total. SEM analysis will be used to
investigate and obtain the structure and morphology of the synthesized sample. In order to investigate
polymer resistance, the heating behavior of fibers during melting can be understood
from tensile analysis and DSC analysis. According to the obtained results to
investigate the antibacterial property to direct contact method against Escherichia
coli bacteria, Aerobic mesophilic bacteria, Mold count, Pseudomonas aeruginosa enumeration count, Enumeration of staphylococcus
aureus count and measurement of heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury,
cadmium). Finally the obtained values are compared with the reference value
obtained from pure fibrous polymer under the same conditions. The results are
reported in the form of effective data and are taken from the selected
appropriate sample of the BET test.
