Biography:

Dr. Kewei Zhao is Professor and director in the Department of medical laboratory technology at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He is also Director of Guangdong Engineering Research Center of Chinese Herbal Vesicles and co-leads the Ovarian Cancer Moonshot Program. Dr. Kewei received his medical degree from Southern Medical University. A major and consistent theme of his scientific research has been on understanding Chinese-Western medicine and converting lab discoveries into novel therapeutics. His research group has made seminal research contributions in the fields of bone metabolism, nanomedicine. Dr. Kewei has received recognition for his research accomplishments including the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Dr. Kewei was selected as a director of Guangdong Engineering Research Center of Chinese Herbal Vesicles in 2023, chairman of Specialized Committee on Chinese Herbal Medicine-derived Extracellular Vesicles of GDACM in 2024
