This study evaluates the impact of paintings created by art students on the birth experience of women in selected maternity wards, focusing on emotional well-being and stress reduction. The donated artworks aimed to create a peaceful environment for women during childbirth.Involving 200 women who gave birth in participating wards, the study collected data through surveys and interviews assessing stress, anxiety, and satisfaction before and after exposure to the art.
Results showed that 85% of participants experienced a significant reduction in stress and anxiety, while 78% found the maternity environment more peaceful and supportive. Participants also expressed high satisfaction with the atmosphere created by the paintings, noting the importance of colors and shapes.
This study highlights the potential of art to improve mental and emotional health during childbirth and suggests that integrating art into healthcare can foster more supportive environments for women.
