This study examines the efficacy of solution-focused brief counselling in addressing PTSD symptoms among student-victims. The region has witnessed a rise in violent incidents, leaving many students vulnerable to the debilitating effects of trauma. In response, this study explores the application of solution-focused brief counselling (SFBC) as an effective therapeutic technique tailored to the unique needs of student-victims. By focusing on solutions rather than dwelling on problems, SFBC empowers individuals to navigate through their trauma and build resilience. Through a series of case studies and empirical data, this paper demonstrates the efficacy of SFBC in promoting healing, restoring well-being, and fostering a sense of hope among student-victims in Northern Nigeria. This innovative approach offers a promising avenue for mental health intervention in conflict-affected regions, emphasizing the importance of culturally sensitive and contextually relevant strategies to support those impacted by trauma. Findings from the study will contribute to the development of effective interventions for trauma survivors in similar contexts.
