Abstract:

The case study of my own bipolar disorder which lasted for 33 years and ended due to psychological work. Ideas of Carl Jung was used to understand the essence of that particular condition. During the process of recovery, it became obvious how the correct thoughts can change not only the mood, but to stop a certain phase of disorder. A few incidents of that kind happened, which show the importance of those thoughts for that disorder. Idea of full recovery, which is possible, will change the attitude to mental illnesses including such things as a stigma and manipulations based on it. So, my real experience is an investment to that idea

 

Biography:

Dina Veksler completed her Master degree in engineering in ex-USSR, AAS in Early Childhood Education in the USA. She has been working with special children and psychiatric patients for the Social Services system for about 25 years. Being a child’s photographer in the past she invented Thematic Photobooks system, which can work as a phototherapy. She published a few articles in academic journals in English and in Russian languages and some books on Amazon (under pen name Dana Madenich)
